German rail bike reservation

I haven't seen this exact question. I wish to buy some advance purchase German rail tickets, including one from say Heidelberg to Chur, Switzerland. They are dirt cheap when purchased in advance. However, it will not let me get a bike reservation on a ticket leaving the country. If I buy the advance tickets, is there likely to be any problem adding a bike reservation the day before I travel by going to the train station?

Last time I did that, I booked a German train to the last German stop on DB and the Swiss train from the first Swiss stop. A little risky, but you get bike tickets.

You have to buy bike tickets at least a day in advance -- also risky in the high season.

Thanks Pedaleur. Only problem is that an advance Heidelburg to Chur is 29 euros and my daughter goes free. Hard to beat!
