They are just a bit bigger than a 24-26 tooth sprocket.
Want more than one, actually...

This is a new-old-stock frame that has never been built.

The good: This frame is in amazing NOS shape. It has a few small marks from storage, but really - there's not that much to say because it really is that nice. There are some light marks on the left chainstay, and that's about it. Photos tell the story.

The bad: Besides being on the heavy side for cro-mo (5 pounds, 10 oz!!!), the downtube cable stops were not brazed level with each other. While this little mistake isn't that obvious when you are looking at the frame casually, it is absolutely there if you look for it. I've captured it in the photos. You'll have to decide whether you can live with this or not. I imagine that downtube cable stops would probably look fine despite this, but downtube shifters may feel odd.

The photos tell the story best, but any questions, just ask.

Specs are:

63cm CTT seattube (59cm CTC)

58cm CTC top tube

English threaded bottom bracket

Rear bridge is made for recessed mount brakes

Made for a 27.2 seatpost (not included)

130mm rear spacing

Please see the photos. Sold as-is.

$75 + actual shipping. PayPal or Zelle.
7 speed 12-28 with box. I rode this a few times. The sticker on the lockring is a little boogered. A small bit of adhesive would lock it back down if it’s important to you.

Beautifully made and heavy. Double acting. I suppose that means it pumps while pushing and pulling. This is an ‘82, i think, or maybe ‘81. 57 cm c-c top tube and seat tube. This is a Cino Heroica veteran! I’ve had this for 6 or so years, other than Cino, only put a couple hundred miles on it. I got it in trade from the only other guy in my town who likes old bikes. He told me several times the fork isn’t original to the bike. It is certainly appropriate and has the somewhat less common pantograph. It is shortish for this head tube and I had to use a low stack Tange steel headset, which is included, and IMO looks very nice.

Paint is very good for this vintage. A little dimpling on the top tube. There is some pitting on the fork chrome. The crown is actually better than the pic as that is mostly shadow. I’ll try to get another pic up.

This is a used - but very presentable - 2001 LeMond Nevada City in nice shape. Reynolds 853 steel frameset from when these were made in the US, 3x8-speed with Shimano Sora; new inner brake cables. Stops and shifts as it should.

Frame is a beautiful blue metallic which isn't showing up that well in the harsh light of the pictures. Please make sure to look at the closeups.

New bar tape, saddle is a used, but good shape white Bontrager that I fitted to it in lieu of the original saddle. It is not as white as the new bar tape, but complements it well. Cassette has been cleaned; chain shows some use and a bit of grime, but it doesn't have a master link, so I didn't pop it in the cleaner.

Some marks from age and use, but still very, very presentable. The RD is probably the only bit that, all things considered, is underwhelming to look at. The rest is either perfectly acceptable or very pretty.

I could go on and on explaining it, but the photos pretty much tell the story better than I can, and I can get you closeup photos of any other details you might want. Tires are new CSTs and the rims are nicely in true.

50cm CTT seattube (46.5cm CTC)

50cm CTC top tube

$400 OBO plus actual shipping to you via UPS. PayPal or Zelle.

All frame tubes will be padded - I know how to ship these things to survive.
I will ship anywhere in the US though I will only do so by dropping the bike off at a trusted local shop for boxing and BikeFlights or PirateShip shipping (whichever is cheaper). I understand this process adds to the cost but I have backed away from boxing bikes up myself any longer due to liabilities and previous unfortunate experiences. Therefore, professional boxing is a flat $120 and buyer to pay the actual shipping charges.

I am located in Corvallis, Oregon and would be delighted for a local sale.
Please contact me offline if interested.
Much non-original, but reasonably appropriate for a PX-10 set up for touring (or aging knees). This bike came from Michael Barrett's estate. I snagged a couple items to hopefully make it a bit easier for his non-cycling son to liquidate the rest of the newer stuff. 63 seat tube ctt, 59.5 top tube ctc. Serial number 1669850. More pix here. More discussion about this particular bike in this BF thread. Happy to take more pictures if you want. <strike>$350</strike> $300 obo plus actual shipping.

Components:

Simplex SX-410T rear derailleur

SunTour ARx front derailleur

Shimano Dura-Ace shifters

Stronglight 99 crank (42-28) – English threaded

IRD Cyclone 6sp freewheel (26 or 28 large sprocket)

MAFAC 2000 brakes & levers with full hoods (hoods have some cracks)

Ideale 90 saddle, Simplex badged seatpost

Pivo stem (10cm) and handlebars

Specialized rear hub, Shimano 105 front hub

Mavic MA40 rear rim, Matrix front rim

32mm Panarace Gravelking SS tires

Some things to note:

The seatpost fits nice to start (like if you're 6'5"), but gets a bit smaller toward the top (like if you're 6'0"). I took care of that problem with a small soda pop can shim. ;) It stayed put on a 20-mile ride this morning.

The original Stronglight 93 crank and bottom bracket went off to a new owner last fall. I replaced them with a Stronglight 99 (86BCD) and a Stronglight bottom bracket I scavenged from a Gitane I parted out. I'm not sure everything is perfect in that area, but nothing rubs. I suspect a tad longer spindle would be appropriate.

I replaced the top tube cable clips with a set of Huret clips I had in the stash and in the process revealed that the middle clip was hiding a bit of paint removal and rust. I don't think it's bad, but I'll let the buyer take care of any remedy.

The Simplex rear derailleur isn't the most responsive thing. I suspect it could use a cleaning. An older (stiffer) chain might help as well.

The pedals currently on the bike are not included. I can throw something else on there if you need them.

There's plenty of room around the Gravelking tires. I imagine you could squeeze 35mm tires with fenders in there. I'm happy to do a little measuring if that's important to you.

Overall, the fit is a bit long for me, but I'm not willing to separate the rather pretty Pivo stem from the bike.

Here's a picture as it sits after today's ride.
