Trek Farley 7

I have a Pugsley Necromancer, but after 7 years am starting to feel the itch for something new.

The Farley 7 has a lot of improvements I’m interested in - dropper post, 27.5 wheels, lower standover height, 1x, internal routing.

Does anybody have experience with this bike? I plan to ride this year round. Currently live in Alberta. Alternative bike suggestions are welcome too.

Thanks.

Hey Slo Rida - not sure if this works for you, but Hardcore Bikes in Edmonton rents them. I rented one last year and loved it. I decided to buy a Norco Ithaqua, but that was purely based on finding a super deal on a used one.

Thanks for the tip! That works for me.

The Farley is an awesome bike. For me, dropper posts and suspension are not priorities, but the 27.5 wheelset is great.

I just happened to purchase one. I like everything about the bike and plan on riding yr round through winter/ The suspension is what really sold me into buying the bike, as stated, I will be riding this yr round and I have read a fat bike without a rigid fork on the summer trails can be brutal.(so I have read)

I have a 2017 Farley 7 and have loved it! I think Trek nailed the Fat Bike! 27.5 is the stuff, I believe it comes with Gnarwahls on it which are a nice tire. My gnars are for winter only. They are Studable for great traction. For the money the 7 is pretty darn good deal!
