Finally !

On Monday, the last of the snow melted, from streets and MUPs. Yesterday, everything dried off! Today, Wednesday, it's supposed to hit 70 F! I filled all the bike tires this morning.

I'm going riding. For the first time since November.

It's been so warm here in Northern Nevada, the other day I put all the patio furniture back on the patio (had to move the cushions into the garage to protect from rain and a little snow), and sure enough, the next day it got cold and windy again. Hope you have better luck!

Bikes: Several bikes, Road, Mountain, Commute, etc.

No break in the cycling because of weather here. Wish there was! We need the rain and snow desperately.

On the other hand, the cycling has been great. This is the first year I've gotten 1,000+ miles ridden in Jan., Feb., and Mar.

It could be worse, we have had some rain. I've even had to mow the lawn twice!

20 miles in two hours, liked to kill us both! Those darned beta blockers kicked both our butts. I got loaded up with meds last spring, and Jim got dumped on last summer. No stamina, no wind, no heart! Legs were willing for short spurts, legs never complained! But loss of stamina and wind is a killer!

When your heart won't step up, doesn't take long to run out of juice!

Jim and I usually do 30-40 every day. We both think it's going to be a different kind of riding this year.

Bikes: Many

Well, the snow had melted here, and the roads clear (still not warm) and then we got 2 inches of snow yesterday. I won't be able to ride tomorrow (although temps will be good) because of work, so Sunday looks like my first riding day of the year right now.

I recall that feeling of elation from the years I lived in St Louis, Washington DC, and Kentucky.

That is the advantage of living in the southern US.

Enjoy the Spring and Summer. Ride safe.

Glad to hear about your favorable weather but sorry to hear that the medications are interfering with your enjoyment. Talk to your doctor, there may be alternatives or at least ways to minimize the impact. Good Luck.

I've been riding since early March up here, until another arctic blast hit us. Riding with melting snowbanks and 45F is like being a little kid again.

Nothing like that first ride!
