Pulled the trigger...
After riding this bike (a 2015 Specialized Sirrus Elite), and then comparing it to a Trek 7.x, the Trek DS series, a Giant, several mountain bikes, and hemming and hawing, I pulled the trigger. Whoever said ride lots of bikes until one sings to you was right - I tried to find something cheaper that would do; I tried other brands and other (closer) LBSs, but I kept coming back to College Cyclery in downtown Reno (four LBSs away from me). I even rode three Sirrus models, but only this one seemed "just right." Only "upgrade" was to swap out for bar-ends.
Took a short maiden voyage downtown. The shot you see below is on a bridge that crosses the Truckee River.
The bike is a blast and I finally feel like I'm really back in the saddle again. I'm keeping Mrs. Jones (the Masi) because she's my one true love, but this little sweetheart will be a perfect transition bike back into cycling. The Globe is on Craigslist.

"... ride lots of bikes until one sings to you..." That's how I decided on my new bike this year, and the result was perfect (for me). And it also works for beer..."Drink lots of beer until one sings to you!"

+10 on frame & color
-1 on the flat bars & -1 on saddle (only based on looks)
+8 over all rating IMO
To up score to a 10 I'd add these handlebars & a brooks saddle

you can crunch the numbers, search the stats, etc. but sometimes a bike (or car or motorcycle) just "speaks to you." That's the one. Congrats.

You're so right! I was doing side-by-side (on the computer) comparisons. Weighing the compromises of this component over that. I tried riding cheaper versions of this bike. In the end, it came down to just loving how I felt on it.

When I first saw the bike, I thought, "Who would want a bike that color." Then some kind of switch got pulled, and I did a 180º and fell in love with the color. I knew I didn't want another all black, all white, all grey bike this time round (but don't tell Mrs. Jones - she's my beautiful all-white Masi). And this appealed to my sensibility that it's a color I wouldn't see all over the bike trails. i simply love it.

Don't mince words
I approve. Especially of the color. I have a sports bra, a couple tech-T-shirts and a pair of shorts that color. Please ride often.

Good call. Many years ago I passed on a screaming deal on a motorcycle that I couldn't stay away from; I thought I just couldn't justify the expense, and I already had a few in the garage. I've regretted it ever since, and now they cost far more and are getting pretty rare. I even had the money to do it....
Ride and enjoy!
