Bucket List Day 3!

Day 3 done! 86 miles and 7000' of climbing from Peaks of Otter to Floyd, Va. Lots of ups and downs, views of expansive meadows along the BRP and only 1 five mile climb. My wife caught up with John and me in the van after 3 1/2 hours and at the top of the long climb for the day. It was getting warm and we were feeling the miles. We refueled and cruised in the last couple hours. We watched the clouds darken but no Tstorms or rain! Almost felt like a recovery day??? Enjoyed Cinco de Mayo at El Charro in Floyd (only place open). Headed to Sparta, NC tomorrow.

After 3 days:

287 miles and 25,500' of climbing from Front Royal to Floyd.

Pictures are not uploading-will try again tomorrow night.

My wife says 'BITE ME!' to you and your bucket list. Peaks of Otter is her favorite place on earth. Our collective ashes are to be scattered along the BRP near Peaks...

Keep on chugging! I've never had a chance to ride farther south than Fancy Gap. I might head down that way later in the week.

I love Floyd and the Riner & Meadows of Dan...I frequent it on the
Harley though, my legs just are into the beginning of retraining..Sounds like your legs are just fine....sounds like a nice ride.
Y'all ever check Chateau Morrisette? The wine and the food is world class.

A great stretch today that you'd love. No long climbs but all up and down. Lots of open meadows along the BRP.
