Bikes and ducks.

What does a duck and a bicycle have in common? They both have handlebars, except for the duck.

That one quacked me up!

Sorry, but you knew someone was going to say it.

They both travel in the same direction. That's what I found out last summer when every morning some ducks on the trail would fly away as I approached them. But they would fly in the same direction as I am riding but just further down the same path. They would do that three times until they figured out to fly in another direction. Every morning.

Water fowl pun that was. (say it fast)

I've had robins do that "fly off in the direction of my travel" thing all the time.

Late to the duck roast. Did I miss anything?

Ducks Looking Strong

Ducks ran it up against the Blackhawks yesterday. Maybe Bruce Boudreau's chance to win a Cup?:thumb:

Oh, and some NHL players and refs ride stationary bikes before and/or after games...

Looks like an invitation to introduce the Quack Cyclists! They put on the Devil Mountain and Knoxville Double Centuries and are the best bunch of quackers out there. Here's a link to their website:

I still don't get it .

Latest encounter with ducks was on the way to work a few days ago. I commute on a MUP that meanders along a river. Lots of waterfowl in the area. I noticed a couple of mallard ducks up ahead to my right. Just as I drew even with them, another mallard decided to come in for a landing to join his friends. I had to brake relatively hard to avoid t-boning him :notamused:.

P.S. This was not the first time something like this has happened, and it likely won't be the last.
