Say Its Not So!

I was having a nice Saturday afternoon fiddling around on the computer and reading about wheelsets when my wife comes downstairs and says she's feeling antsy. OK, Im up to get out for a bit. I'm even in the mood to take her shopping so I ask her if she wants to go to the mall....no...., ok how about the Tanger Outlet Mall.....no....

Ok, where. Let's go look at bikes. I take her to a LBS that happens to have a couple of ladies models and lo and behold....let me make this short...I end up swiping the card and she gets a new Jamis Ventura Sport. Her first real bike and she's ecstatic. I can't complain since she bought me a Bianchi last December.

While we're there she's shopping for accessories and chooses a helmet. Wait for it and look at the pic.

Say it's not so.We now have two matching helmets. Go ahead and laugh.

Matchy-matchy. Jerseys are next. I have some friends who match, and others who avoid it like the plague. We usually go for the match on our tandem. Uh, that's next BTW. Start saving.

Machka and I are a team on and off the bikes. Sometimes we match, sometimes we don't. Sometimes we match our bikes which are different colours, sometimes we just wear civvies, like we did yesterday for a short jaunt (jeans and casual tops).

Yeah, he's lucky she didn't get a red bike. If she had bought a fast, red bike, that could have been humiilating.
