N+1 approval granted!

My Wife has finally agreed to a second bike (N=1). Picked out a 2004 Trek 5500 OCLV carbon, fully dura-ace. And she is in PURPLE! I pick her tomorrow.

And now my mistake! I made the comment that N is now 2, so N+1 now equals 3. She DID NOT see the humor there!

Enjoy the ride. I am lucky that the wife does not care how many bikes I have as long as we have room to park hers. I have been thinking about getting rid of a few of my motorcycles to make room for more bicycles.

Nice!

Try not to tombay on your first ride on the new bike like I did last weekend.

The picture does not give this bike justice, the paint reflects and looks awesome in the sun.

Last year I had decided I was in need of a new Trek. The wife was not happy until I explain I had decided to sell off all three of my vintage bikes to make room... as well as pay for the new bike. All of which I promptly did.

About a month or so later I bought another vintage bicycle. My wife quickly pointed out I had agree to SELL the vintage bikes. I explained that I HAD sold those bikes.... that this was a completely different vintage bike.

I believe I saw that bike on eBay recently. Nice catch, SammyJ. From the decals I would say it is one of the early ones -- maybe 1994 or so? By the way, love my 1996 and you are correct about the wonderful paint job on these!

Time to come out of the closet and admit you are velosexual. "She," in purple? We do love our bikes don't we? By the way, I include myself in this minority group.
