My other bike is a fifteen year old entry level 26" hardtail MTB. Since I'd be very lucky to get $150 for it I keep it. It's fully functional and not a bad bike. Good to have a backup as well as a beater to take to the beach.

if I had a higher end road bike sitting around collecting dust I'd be more likely to sell it and put that cash into my new ride.
