As usual UniGeezer, you’re videos are enjoyable to view (made me smile from start to finish) and your unicycling is awesome, regardless of your 60 years! You make riding that trail appear easier than if I were to ride it on two wheels (I’m a smooth, fast pavement kind of guy).

I’ll be 60 in several months, but I’ll be sticking with two-wheeled pedal machines with dual brakes.

Just wondering… do you ever ride a two-wheeled bicycle for an occasional change of pace or for the sake of variety or intended purpose?

I always enjoy your videos, UG. Do you have a cameraman to help out, or do you have to set the camera on a tripod for all of those shots?

I think the downhill sections would be the hardest.

I usually do my own filming, mostly with tripod or handheld. I did make a specialized "uni-cable-cam" several years ago, in an effort to have the camera track me while riding, but wanted a way to do it solo, and be able to carry all the parts in my backpack. Here's a compilation of that:

Also, I was fortunate to get together with a few aerial videographers who were able to get some amazing drone shots on some technical trails.

Here's one of those:

John "Largo" Long, rock climber extraordinaire, author and extreme unicyclist, was an original member of the Santa Barbara MUni club, which is where I got my start, back in early 2006. Helluva great group of riders! Have not seen or heard from him in a few years, and not sure if he still rides.

He took a bad fall in of all things a rock climbing gym and broke his leg up pretty severely.

Spends a lot of time provoking philosophical arguments on the intardnet.

What is "Mind?" :: SuperTopo Rock Climbing Discussion Topic

I figured that the Muni community is probably a lot like the climbing community was in the 70's and everyone either knows each other or at most are one or two parties removed. So it was a safe bet that you knew him.

Sorry to hear about that and hope he has made a full recovery.
