OK, I admit it - I have been doing some spinning at home on my retired mountain bike as a trainer.

I find if I make things "comfortable" for my mind set - (my brain just jumps all over the place, so I need to keep it occupied) - I do better. So, here you see - TV to watch programs, 2 TV screens hooked up to my VCR/DVD, a phone, a tablet, water bottle, various remote controls, board with exercise program, cadence meter, HRM, old mtn bike, tension adjustment for the trainer. I also use the DVD screens for my TRX DVD.

So, how about you?

Can't resist; the unedited title puts me in mind of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, and one would be tempted to respond to the question:

'Uh - I think it can be said of me that I have never, ever soinned at home. That's one thing I have never done - I can lay my hand on my heart, or indeed anybody else's heart, and say "I have never soinned at home". Never soinned at all. I think what you probably want to know is do I spin at home .... you misread completely the question...'

'Yes, I'm awfully sorry. I did ... make an error ... do you spin at home?'

I spin at the health club. There are a lot of very attractive people there to watch while I work out but they don't want us to take photos inside because PRIVACY... but here's one I snuck while pretending to choose a different song on my phone:

One of the things about living in San Diego is the year round cycling weather. So no, I don't soin at all.

Damn autocorrect. It's hard to type that.

Must be a pretty big health club to get that sort of mileage in.

I have a couple mag trainers and a set of rollers with mag resistance and I usually procrastinate long enough that I don't end up using them over the winter months. So, sorry, no pics of my layouts. This year will be different as I wholly intend to get some trainer time in, I hope, probably, maybe, we'll see how things go.

I've just recently removed the desk... and converted the home office into a man cave. But before I move the trainer setup to the basement I'll be spending some time with the trainer in the garage.

Tomorrow (new years day) if at all possible... I will ceremonially [go for a] ride outside.

When I last rode my rollers I day dreamed of rollers like these:
cycling rolling hills - Google Search

Then I almost fell off and switched to the trainer. That was a long winter.

My set up is really minimal. Low end Specialized MTB that I switched to some road tires that I had on another bike, old Cycleops rollers that I picked up on Craigslist. Set-up is in the basement between a wall and a support to reduce falls. I did spring for a Quadlock (It was 50% off because it's for an S4.) to mount my phone so that I can watch videos while I spin.

I get on the bike just about every day. It's one of the highlights of my day.

Here is my setup for my wife and I for when we can't ride outside. Two Wahoo Kickr Snaps using Zwift on the computer. (The photo was taken before we got the second Kickr Snap)

Hey - some interesting responses. Yes, I would love to be outside, but this has been a rough late fall and winter so far. The ice ruts on my street make my car go bounce-bounce. My back/ribs have not fully recovered from my mountain bike fall last summer, and I am not interested in further injuring them, as my wife is having surgery in 2 weeks and needs me fully operational. It seems to take me longer to heal nowadays.

So, I will swim, walk, and ride inside, trying to make it as bearable as possible.
