The silliest argument is whether to shave your legs or not to shave your legs... Nothing is any sillier... Really... Even the idea that shaving ones legs helps the average rider is just stupid, err silly...

Kit and BSO arguments. I don't care what you wear or what you ride, if it's 2-3 wheels and you're the engine, you're good in my book.

Sorry, but I can’t resist. As the owner of a high-end, carbon fiber bike I have engaged in several such threads. My ultimate reply is, “Well, at least I don’t suffer from buyer's remorse for what I might be missing.”

Other than religious arguments such as helmets, chain lube, frame material and component levels, these questions always wind up with silly arguments:

What clothes should you wear?
Why do you want to go faster?
Battery vs dynamo and what's the best light?
Someone didn't call "passing", should I be upset?
How long are HIIT intervals?
How does my average speed (or power) compare?

The way I heard it, from a standup comedian about drivers, is that the people you pass are morons, and those that pass you are idiots.

A few years ago, @miss kenton countered that argument, asking "Illya or Napoleon?"...definitely a Fifty-Plus response.

(Mary Ann for me too.)

Those that pass you are maniacs. We should add this one to the list.

After watching the most recent crash video, I realized: We see far more crashes on YouTube with video cameras than without. Only one conclusion is possible: Helmet cameras cause crashes!

Discuss.
