Has any of you done the mountains to coast ride that starts in North Carolina? If so, tell me about your experiences.

I've done the ride about 10 times. I am considering signing up today. It has 1-2 days in the mountains with "gentle" climbs. I've walked a couple--especially when I had only cycled a couple of hundred miles for the year. Then rolling hills with pine trees, then flat areas, then the ocean. It is a nice way to extend the summer. One year it rained 5 of the 7 days, but it is usually great weather, not too hot, not too cold. I usually sign up for the breakfast meal and go into town using the shuttles for dinner. They usually have some type of entertainment each night.

They don't do "coast to mountains"?
