New handlebar grips causing . .
 

eczema type blotches on my palms.
The grips are foam rubber, blue in colour for what it`s worth. This happened shortly after fitting, at around the same time I`d been pruning trees . . . . it`s getting better, but slowly.

Anybody else had problems like this?

Never any problem with skin irritation. Where is it manufactured? (really!, there's your answer)


Cloth tape or standard padded wrap is best.

If you have a latex allergy, then you might be sunk, but if your skin was just chafed by the action of using the tree pruner for an extended time (or your hands came into contact with irritating oils from some weed or vine during the pruning) then this might just be a temporary setback.

Hands seem to be getting better, and I`ve been out on the bike a number of times since.

So next time the trees want pruning, I`ll . . . get a man in!
