Back in the Saddle!...
 

After 3 weeks off due to a pinched nerve I rode an hour today. I didn't think riding was the cause of the nerve problem, and my physical therapist didn't either. And today's ride didn't aggravate it. It felt great to be back riding! Here's a short video of the ride.

Got in my first snow ride this weekend, mostly on nearby open fields with some moderate slopes and drainage gullies. Pretty fun. Used the rigid fork mountain bike. I'd rather have used the comfort hybrid for the spring fork and wider tires but I haven't replaced the worn out chain yet.

I ran the Suomi Nokian W106's at 30psi and it was perfect. The studs gripped the ice, the treads gripped the snow and the lower psi cushioned the ruts. And on the dry portions it didn't slow me down as much as when I tried 25psi. 5 psi makes a big difference with these tires!
