Always fun finding new trails !
 

I've been cycling The Lake Dennison Region for the last 3 years, and have yet to roll out on all the different trials. But todays trails I've been by at least two dozen times and never noticed the entrance to it, I guess it's time for new glasses. This will be my last year will my old GT triple triangle steel bomber, will be upgrading to a Specialized Fuse that I demoed about a month ago. That will make a trail like this will all the roots a little easier, even when wet. Can't tell you how much fun I have exploring new trails, even when a tree gets in your way.

Thanks for the post, and video. I have just started dabbling in mountain bicycling this year, and it was interesting hearing someone else's grunts and exclamations. I probably sound worse, particularly when getting hit by trees.

I had been a die hard roadie for 40 years, and pick-up a $100 used mountain bike 3 year ago and am having a blast playing in the woods. I'm always making noises, talking to myself, and laughing having fun.

I haven't been riding that long, but have been a commuter about 12 years, with some road and club rides. Had not seriously considered mountain biking, as it seemed like riding with no payoff, i.e. no destination. This year, I obtained a Trek Marlin 5 through my employer's fitness program, and was ambivalent about trying cross-country riding, or converting it to a heavy-weather commuter. Went to a beginner's group ride, and seem to be hooked! No destination? Well, fun and fellowship are rewards in themselves, and an hour on the trails is much more strenuous than two hours on the road for me. And, practicing mountain biking skills should help my winter riding.
