No fair having a birthday in August just so you can have sunny weather for your b-day ride. Off to Australia with you. (Yes, mine is in January, so I usually get drenched on my birthday rides. At least it doesn't often snow here.)

Seriously, nicely done.

Congratulations. My birthday ride this year calls for a 64 miler as well. Problem is, November weather is a crap shoot here.

I once read about a fellow who, during the month (did he mean 30 or 31 days?) before his 60th birthday, he rode a century every day. Wow! 30 Centuries in 30 days (or 31 in 31)! I've thought about that but my endurance at the moment (3 years from my 60th) wouldn't be able to do that and secondly, unless I got up at 4am and rode at 25kph for the 4hrs (or worse, 25mph for 4 hrs), I wouldn't be able to make it to work on time (or be able to work once I got there). Quite the feat he did.

Congrats on your birthday, don't let this story of mine diminish your special day, I just happened to be reminded of it.

If I did that on my 63rd I wouldn't be here for my 64th
