Middle Aged Women In Lycra?

"They" have coined the term MAMIL for Middle Aged Men in Lycra ... but what about us women?

MAWIL doesn't have much of a ring to it.

MAWOB ... Middle Aged Women On Bicycles?

MALIC ... Middle Aged Ladies Into Cycling?

Fit, fun-loving women wearing stretch lycra.

Probably doesn't check all of your boxes and it's a bit sexist, but it makes me smile every time that I think of it.

MAMIL=Middle Aged Maidens in Lycra
MAMIL=Middle Aged Madams in Lycra
MAMIL=Middle Aged Ma'ams in Lycra
MAMIL=Middle Aged Matrons in Lycra
MAMIL=Middle Aged Ms. in Lycra
MAMIL=Middle Aged Mama in Lycra

I like "Mama" as many women refer to themselves and other women as "Mamas" in a positive non-maternal meaning like "Hot Mama" or "Biker Mama"...

I also like "Ms."

Any term that includes gender, even "man" could be considered sexist so perhaps,
"Middle Aged Mortal In Lycra"
"Middle Aged Maniac In Lycra"
"Middle Aged Mammal in Lycra"
"Middle Aged (and) Mobile in Lycra"

There are a few less polite and off-color variations that came to mind, but that's not my style.

One does not draw attention to a ladies' age. Therefore "Ladies In Lycra" or Mama LIL.

MAMIL = Middle Age MAMIL in Lycra

No sexist connotations, nor gender references that way, so it works as well for women as well as men. And whatever self-identified variations that may arise.

As long as I can wear my T-shirt depicting Che Guvara wearing a Che Guvara T-shirt with it, I am on board.

The only woman whose clothes I can influence are my wife's, and I don't have much influence over that. That's OK with me. If you ride a bicycle, I recommend dressing comfortably, but I have enough trouble choosing my own clothes.

I see no need or for acronyms about people and their clothes.

Her T-shirt also shows her wearing the Che Guvara T-shirt, that works for me I think we've solved this conundrum.

No need for pictures, we're just after acronyms. I figure if the men get an acronym, the women should too.
