This is NOT how I remember it!

Cycling in San Diego, as I remember it, was not like this. Poor Clementine here is trembling in the cold. Here it is, March 2, and we're having a major snowfall here in Reno. Up in nearby Lake Tahoe, they got five feet last night. Guess it's going to be a while before I'm back in the saddle again!

Yes, I think that you should take Clemetine into the warm and stroke her lovingly.

Still dusting, and supposed to do so for the next 9 hours. Sorry about the iPhone pic being sideways!

Welcome back, Deeg! That sure is a strangely-colored bike.

At this time of year, snow is a good thing. The folks in Tahoe are rejoicing.

They are, indeed. When I moved up here from San Diego, I actually enjoyed having four seasons again. This year was actually a very mild winter, until now when we got such a lot of snow. There are recreational opportunities year round, and I'm going to have to adjust to having a bike season or two, rather than year round days of sunshine. I'm not complaining at all. It was rather weird to have snow finally arrive on the first day of March, however. But it's all good.

Oh goodie. That means those of us suffering in 60 - 70+ degree temperatures in southern Nevada will have something to drink next summer. Any added snowpack in the Sierra Nevada mountains and Rockies is welcomed. It's been a lean year for snow.

The telemark ski boys here are wringing their hands now that snow is nearly gone. A couple of them hiked up Mt. Washington. Notice the nice crust of ice at the summit. Telemarkeast.com ? View topic - Montañas Blancas Occidentales '17-'18
