Think young!!

I occasionally remind myself to not think old, don’t act old, don’t speak old and avoid hanging out with those that constantly talk about getting old.

I didn't start getting old, until I said- think I'm getting old.
once I stopped that, I didn't get older.

I agree with putting your bike on a trainer.
My latest injury (a broken finger) kept me off the bike for about a month.
But I kept up my fitness by using the trainer three times a week.

I woke up one day and I was Old .... but that was about ten years ago, so no big deal, I guess.

Oh to be 55 again. It was so long ago I can barely remember those youthful carefree days.

years ago, my then 94-yr old grandmother saw the doctor for a minor complaint. The doctor just dismissed "That's because you're just old."
My fiery grandmother stood up, glaring at him "Doctor, I'll have you know that I'm not old. I'm just oldER!"
She was a smart woman.

Fifty-five and feeling old? You're doing it all wrong! I'm 64 and I feel young, and in better shape today than I've been since the '80s. My philosophy is that if you take care of your mind and body you can feel young until you keel over (the Jack LaLanne approach).

Making progress...

Howdy all,

Well, a little over 90 days post surgery and things are looking up!
Been back to work for a couple of weeks, and getting out on the bike some in the morning early before it hits 100 degrees.

Strength and endurance are still coming back slowly. But I can see improvement.
Thanks for all of the encouragement and advice.
