BTC bites the dust?
Never to early to think about next year, so I decided to look up the Bike Tour of Colorado, and immediately started seeing articles about how they've bounced checks to the community groups that helped them with the ride in 2018. Wow. Kind of surprising as they've been around for a long time. Here's one article:

I saw that as well. There were only 330 riders when I rode BTC in 2017. I’m sure the organizer lost lots of money that year. I understood that his daughter was going to take it over in 2018 but it sounds like there still weren’t enough riders to pump in the cash needed. Regardless its its disappointing to lose a reasonably priced supported tour in CO. Their rest stops had the most amazing assortment of goodies of any ride I’ve done. The routes were always great and the ride was well supported. |

Great tour, sorry to hear of it’s demise. |
