Bike Florida Day 3

Woo hoo! First 100 miler on the new hip. It was an honest Century as well. Even with cue sheets, a separate paper map, the route loaded on my bike computer and markings on the road I still managed to get off course.......twice?!?! It only added 4 miles so I wound up with 105 miles. Slower than Iíd like but I have to continue to temper my expectations.

I swapped bikes and used my tried and proven red Pinarello and it rode like a dream.

They did a nice job on the route today by weaving in the 3 bike trails weíve ridden so far. The folks here just donít know how lucky they are to have miles and miles of paved bike paths.

Trying to decide if this meal is both lunch and dinner but itís really good. The high octane Gatorade is much tastier than anything that was in my water bottles today.

Tomorrow we head to Inverness for 3 days and it looks pretty wet.
Interesting going from dark to extreme light

Nice rest stop

Northern end of the Suncoast Trail

This was really, really good. Hit the spot.

That Mexican food looks real good especially after 105 miles.

Looks like you did the Suncoast and Starkey Park that day. I've ridden it end to end several times. I just wish that it was a little further away from the Suncoast Parkway so the dirt from the cars doesn't get all over you.

Both the food and the high octane Gatorade was really, really good. The food tasted very fresh with just the right amount of spiceyness.

We definitely rode Suncoast again that day. We did an out and back to the northern terminus.

I rode a lot more of it south on Day 1. I agree with you on the proximity to the highway. There are a few spots where itís very close. Here is a photo of one of them.
