I like the fenders so you can ride it in wet weather... do you?

DiabloScott 05-31-19 10:10 AM

I turned 60 last month, it's kind of fun saying SIXTY! with optimism and enthusiasm.
Is that a steer-tube extension? Did it come that way or did you modify it? Low handlebars seem to be one of the more common issues with bikes for older folks.

no mo moto here..

BlazingPedals 05-31-19 01:02 PM

Front tire of the HD is mounted backwards... Just sayin'.

TiHabanero 05-31-19 06:27 PM

BlazingPedals, the front tire is not mounted backwards. it is correctly mounted orientation for a motorcycle and the direction arrows will bear this out.

If you don't mind sounding too cosmopolitan you can always refer to yourself as a sexagenarian.

Nice Street Triple! Love the "new" Triumphs. Had a '78 Bonneville 750, but now jonesing for a Thruxton to complete yet another mid life (old life?) crisis! :)

I have a friend who claims to be a vaginatarian.

If I parked my bike in the house I’m pretty sure You would be reading my obit. 😅

Glad no one has shown their bikes and e-scooters. :)

I love the Thruxton too. I might would settle for the new Speed Twin however. For cyclists, the Thruxton fit is very natural and comfortable.

Well, okay, here it is:

https://i.postimg.cc/TPyWnWLF/IMG-5270.jpg

I was under the impression that on BF Guerciotti bicycles were unliked. Said to be noodley as if they were somehow different from any other skinny tube SLX framed bicycle. Frankly, of the skinny tubes Italian bicycles I have owned, the Guerc is the least noodley and I would not use that term as an adjective for it anyway, compliant like a good steel frame, springy like a good steel frame, but noodley, nah. I got this one at Boone Cycles in Houston somewhere in the mid-80s. Rebuilt several times. Originally bought as a frame, I built it up with Shimano 600 drive train and Campy everything else. Now it has a newer 9 speed Shimano 105 and new Mavic Open rims on Ultegra hubs. It has battle scars (earned and hard won patina) from actual racing, as do I. The bike is an Eddy fit for me, most of my other roadies lean more to a competition fit.

I raced a GLX84 just like that, same color and all so I have a soft spot for them. I agree that they are just competent as any other SLX bike I currently own or have ever ridden. That is one nice bike; is it a 58cm?

My buddy bought a Guerciotti and I bought a Ciocc at the same time from the same store. It was my first race bike and I'll always have a soft spot for it.

I've never owned a motorcycle. Wife's brother killed himself on one many years ago, she hates 'em.
