No garage, live in a 2nd. floor one bedroom apartment, lucky for me the wife loves to ride her bicycle as much as I do so we found a apt. with a LONG front room and use the bottom half as our "garage"!

I can hang five bikes nose to tail, other things I've noticed is everyone has big, tidy garages

Mine just sit on the floor of my 110+ year old "garage." If for some reason it finally caves in, I've got a built in excuse for some new rigs!

It's got N+3 expandability! So, how do I convince the wife of the absolute need to fill all the spaces?

Wall mounted bicycle storage.

No, that's not a reflector. It's an aim point for parking.

I use the clusterf**k method.

I have a nice garage and use a storage method similar to Woodcraft's. Kickstands are handy wherever I store/park my bikes.

We have several lengths of this system, made by Elfa and purchased at The Container Store:

Now that we've finally moved into our new home I'm looking this thread over again trying to figure out what we want to do in the garage with the bikes we'll be using on a regular basis. I'm determined to keep our garage as tidy as possible which means parking two vehicles inside with ample walking space around everything. We have 3 vehicles so I really need to park two inside. I will probably wind up with just 3 bikes in the garage area, two bikes for beach riding and one road bike. I'd also like to get bike trailer to haul small stuff over to the beach and back. And then there's the golf cart we're thinking of adding as a beach and general shuttle vehicle...........And the kayaks......Golf clubs will just have to stay in the van. Dang, we really need a 3 car garage!!!!

In my previous garage the ceiling was high enough I could actually hang bikes above the cars, but there's not enough clearance in our new one. More to come.
