I won't deny some of the benefits of bicycling in my own personal life in regards to the Mrs. Friday1970. Let just say she looked like the wife in the Enzyte commercials after a few months of me getting back into shape from cycling.

Personally I think in five years well see more thirty-something yo's on them than we will over 50 yo's.
We are talking e-bikes right? I didn't watch the ad.

Oh, come on, it was humorous and very mildly risqué (for a bike ad).
They have a second video about making it (so to speak):

I quit TREK after they screwed Greg LeMond so I don't care about their ads. I did, however, watch the clip and didn't think much of it. Just another ad.

As opposed to Specialized caring and nurturing legal department?
The story of Trek’s 2021 April Fools’ Day release of our latest collaboration with IFHT Films, Once Daily Bikes by Trek, is a familiar one to anybody who has worked through the challenges of the last year. The initial shoot, scheduled for March 2020, was canceled as Trek and the Vancouver-based filmmakers came to the realization that shooting anything while the COVID-19 pandemic began its rapid spread throughout North America would be impossible.
With the shoot cancelled, both parties worked independently on their respective full slate of projects. But by early fall, the concept for a spoof on the highly predictable narratives of modern pharmaceutical advertising seemed more relevant than ever in a world seeking a remedy to some overwhelming problems.

Very funny.
If you make it a habit to make someone laugh or smile, or give a compliment, even a trivial one, you enrich their well being as well as yours.

Yeah, I know it is, I just can't find my humor for this.
I've been seeing many more e-bike vid's and other advertising that make it look like the cool thing to do for younger people. And on one hand maybe that'll get more people cycling, and that's a good thing. On the other hand, well have more and more mod'ing their bikes to be faster and faster which will bring it's own set of issues for mixing with other pedestrians and fully human powered vehicles.
Already, I see many more younger people on e-bikes in my area that appear to be in otherwise decent physical health. There are few people of this sub-forums age group riding e-bikes that I ever encounter along the MUP or roads here.

Y'all did notice that that video was posted on YouTube on April 1st, right? ROFL, I think it was a catchy commercial actually.

Is there any doubt that 30 YOs are now and in the future will be riding e-bikes? In my neighborhood, there isn’t one kid that pedals a “pedal car” since they are battery powered and scooters are all battery powered. There is one more enlightened family where the kids actually pedal their bikes since there dad is big into mtn and road biking.
My prediction, kids of the future will be like Tyrannosaurus Rex in reverse with shrunken little appendages for legs and having over sized fingers and thumbs due to gaming.
