Nice hot humid half day Friday, so it's off for some trail fun. This trail network is only a couple miles for where I'm living right now. I have to remind myself to get out on these trails more often, because they offer such a wide verity of riding.

Gardner State Forest has such a mix of trails that you can find stuff to suit almost any rider.

I ride amongst rattlers and all kinds of critters here in SoCal, but man, I have a totally irrational, heightened fear of ticks! Going through that east coast brush freaks me out!

we have poison ivy too

for ticks, socks & bug spray around the lower legs & feet seems to work. only brought home 1 tick this summer. it caught a ride on a sandal. so I'm more diligent with the spray & tick checks
