Whoopsie!!

Meandering lovebirds on the bike path. Missed 'em, but still did a medium speed Biden.

THE BIKE IS OK.

No shaving for you for a few days! Glad you're okay. Sometimes, walkers on the MUPs seem to forget there are other, faster objects sharing the path with them. I've given up on saying "on your left" because invariably, they are either listening to music with earbuds and won't hear me anyway, or they hear me and - you guessed it - move left.

Glad you're okay and that it wasn't worse.

May I suggest an Airzound Airhorn? I can easily alert others on the MUP from a hundred yards away.

It's always best to remember that pedestrians always have the right-of-way on a MUP -- no matter what dumb thing they do.

Yup. And especially if they're teenagers in love, living the most wonderful experience this world provides...While this old fart was end-of-ride tired on a hot day.

Heh. I thought you meant actual birds. (See post in general about fledging birds.)

A few years ago a woman I know got hit in the head by a Canadian goose. She crashed, fractured her collar bone and suffered a concussion, but fared better than the goose. The force of the impact ruptured the bird's abdomen. It fell to the ground and literally spilled its guts. Glad I was not there to see that.

Glad you and the bike are ok.

Wow you are lucky it wasn’t worse. Glad you and the bike made it our with just a few scratches. Next time carry a bucket of cold water with you when you see star crossed teenagers and throw it on them
