Cycling sandals are Shimano with cleats on the bottom. They have steel in the sole. You can use it just like regular bicycle shoes and with the proper socks they are quite warm in the winter. I have a very wide foot, which is one of the reasons I wear them as they fit me well. Nàshbar has them also.
For winter it would be pretty neat to have cleats on the bottom of cowboy boots-spurs optional.
