Big Island Rides
Any advice on road cycling on Kona?
I'm off in July with the wife and hope to get a few rides in.
Anyone have suggestions, links, bike shop to rent from.
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks.

Because the World Championship IronMan is in Kona, there are a couple of good bike shops that rent road bikes. Just bring helmet, pedals, and shoes. You can find it on Yahoo or Google.

I have always used (Hawaiian Pedals), actually 2 locations, right in town & also just off the Queen K Hwy. Great staff, and great rental selection, also very helpful on route suggestions.

You could ride North on 19 through the the vast lava fields and enjoy the experience of long hills and wind.
