Waiting for my new bike
Hi all,it all started with a Trek Navigator 200. It seemed to be to short and to slow for me. Then after reading a lot of post here I went and bought a Trek 7300 and took the Navigator back. I'm 6"2" with a 34.5" inseam. The guy said I looked like a 20.5" frame so that's what I bought. I don't know much about bikes and I'm starting kind of late, almost 66 years old. I got on the forum again and I thought the bike was to short as well. I got a long level put it between my legs as high as it would go, leveled it took the measurement and came up with the 34.5". So here we go again took the bike back to the shop and they were good enough to take it and order a Trek 7300 22.5" frame for me. Man I hope this one fits. It's only been 3 days and I hope to get it in another 4 days. I really got bit by the bike bug and I want to ride pretty bad. Oh well 4 more days. Just wanted to share, have fun and I'll talk to you later, George

George, you sound just like the sort of person who should be posting here. Fitting a bike well is most critical so you're doing the right thing--glad your LBS is cooperative. Let us know how the 7300 fits!
Late or early, it's always good to start riding.....besides, the more you pedal the younger you seemingly get. Look for DnvrFox.........he shares your age and in many ways is ageless-- like so many here. We still mostly put Cytomax in our bottles, not Geritol.
