Whoa....Sh*t-- Kerblam! Not a Bike Crash.
Warning to all Bf50Plus Members:
I turned on the water in the bathroom sink and, with the usual wait for the hot water to cross the house in its usual anti-tsunami trickle, I wandered into another room where the pc was on, and began to reply to George M.'s thread on Clipless Pedals. I clicked Send, then remembered the running hot water so I jogged back around the corner......and found myself airborne in that mental slow motion like the movie Bonnie and Clyde getting riddled with their bodies seen contorting with every bullet stike taking enough time for you to go out for popcorn and get, back settle in, and still see them writhing and splattering in endless payback.
That was me in mental slo mo as I headed floorwards and had time to regret not clearing that clogged pipe which meant the sink drains slowly and this time not at all and I am about to pay for my procrastination having slipped on a flooded floor...kerblam.
No lasting injuries. Went through a lot of towels at cleanup. Vowed to unclog tomorrow. And, George, I don't hold you responsible.
Virtual riding at BF50 can be as potentially injurious as the real thing.

Boy can I relate.
There was a time I was in the bathtub in the middle of an afternoon and the phone rang. For some reason I decided I HAD to answer so I sprang up to run to the closest phone in the kitchen. Just like you, I soon found myself in slo-mo doing a back SLAM on the tile floor. I actually knocked myself out.
When I came to, I realized i was laying on the kitchen floor naked, in horrible pain, and with no one around to help. Somehow I managed to dress myself and drive myself to the ER, where i spent several hours waiting to be told there was little they could tell me.
Boy did that hurt!!!

I had a similar fall.
I was blown over by a gust of wind.
I was standing at a bus stop. On one side of the sidewalk there was a little curb and then the garden beyond sloped 6 feet down to a parking lot on the other side.
I was standing with my heels against the curb. A gust came along and pushed me just a little, but I couldn't step backwards to regain my balance so down I went.
Mindful of the six foot drop behind me, I put my college trampoline training to work and got myself to do a 90 degree rotation while falling so I landed with my spine squarely along the curb. Whew.
Embarrassed, but not severly hurt, though I was achey for a couple of days.

What a coincidence! The attractive young lady who lives in the condo across from me woke up this morning to 4" of water in her garage. It turns out that the water supply pipe to the street is broken. The good news is that she has a tuck under garage and the water was limited to that area.

Glad you're ok, CrossChain.
