Not Blueberry

But I am attending the Pumpkin Pie Ride in Ottawa, IL on Sunday 10 - 1. A lady friend who got back into bicycling this summer will be going with me and this is her first organized ride. Here is the link:

I prefer blueberry, but will try the pumpkin for qaulity.

What is the pie formula, one slice for every ten miles? :)

That's the blueberry formula. For pumpkin you will have to experiment and get back to us. But I would think, because of no top crust, you may want to replenish about every 8 miles. October is pumpkin month, so please let us know.

I love pumpkin pie-- and coffee. What could be more fall-like. Also, it seems more substantial and "carbish".... just the thing to power one through breeze tossed leaves on the autumn roadway. I'm in.

my brother-in-law has a specialty recipe for pumpkin pie so soliciting his support (he's a reluctant rider along with his wife's newfound cycling passion) sounds just the ticket!

I think I should do some training this week. Two pies sounds like a good start! :D

What a beautiful day for a ride. The Pumpkin Pie Ride had 370 bicyclists attending today in the nice sunny 80 degree weather. Not bad for a small town.

My friend rode a single speed Huffy for twenty miles with little problems. And this was her first organized bike ride. Look out if I convince her to get a 24 speed.

CrossChain, they did serve coffee with the pumpkin pie. I only ate two slices of pie with coolwhip, but will practice my pie eating before next years ride. But I also had a bagel, cookies, and fudge. :p
