Arwgh this ad is a pain in the ass!!! But maybe it does work. Because of the aggravating commercials I would have to read some good word of mouth to even consider the product. Let us know.

I took a header once and hit my forehead. Is it the same thing?

It's homeopathic bulls**t. The supposed "active ingredients" are similar to Vick Vapo Rub (eucalyptus oil, etc.) but in minute amounts.

Anyway, most headaches originate inside the skull. Any headache relief has to travel through the blood stream to be effective.

Can you say, "placebo"?

I've never even heard of the product. From the title of the post I'm just glad that Grampy didn't do a double back flip or a swan dive and land on his head.

I've never tried it, but it isn't true that most headaches originate inside the skull. The most common headache results from tension in the musculature and conenctive tissue *around* the skull. Headaches originating inside the skull would have to include migraines, and some sufferers (myself included) benefit from a cold compress to the forehead or back of the neck, probably because of a vascular feedback mechanism.

But......but.......there are testimonials!!! These people would not go on TV and fib, and no respectable TV station would air something that isn't true just to make a buck...... I think I'll try it.

Thanks for explaining it to me. I've seen the commercial and wondered what it does when you apply it to the forehead. The ad fails to mention that. I guess they don't care. They just want you to buy it and apply it, buy it and apply it.

I saw an advertising analysis that said the HEAD ON ads were an amazing bang-for-the-buck, since they are only like 5 seconds long (i.e., cheaper to buy ad time) and they are incredibly effective in raising product awareness.

It gets people talking, even if only to ask what the product is for and that the commercial is obnoxious. In the ad world obnoxious often equals success for a product.

Being in the UK I haven't the foggiest of what you are going on about. I presume from the replies that it is a home brewed head ache remedy in the form of an ointment. We have one in the UK and I have tried it. I suffer from migraine occasionally and not much helps that. However- I tried this rememdy when I had a headache coming on and it worked. Cleared my headache but left me with the "Out of salts" feeling that I get after a migraine. Whether the headache would have gone without it- is anybody's guess but it did work.
