20 Second Test of Strength, Flexibility, and Balance

If you can put on and remove your socks while standing, you pass.

Bonus points for doing it with your eyes closed.

Hmmmm...only if you can make it to the bathroom without running into the door frame.

FWIW, I consider "putting on your socks while standing" to be a legitimate test. If you can't do it, you have an issue with strength, flexibility and/or balance (or, for some it may represent a "pie" issue :D).

I passed, what do I get?

Are we talking those little socks that just cover your feet, or ankle length, or knee highs? Do they have to match?

I keep a pair leaning up against the wall over there for just such situations.

A legitimate test? Why do you hate pie?

John E 04-16-07 07:17 PM

Am I supposed to put on both socks simultaneously?

Bud Bent 04-16-07 07:20 PM

I can do it easily................ unless I tried the first half hour after rising in the morning. My back won't let me do it then.

The bad part of that is......... that's when I put on socks.

Hwy 40 Blue 04-16-07 07:42 PM

It's tough, yes, but what about plucking a golf ball from the bottom of the cup without crouching way down? With, like, barely bending those knees? My fellow golf nut (and cycling nut) Jppe, how about it?

JanMM 04-16-07 08:00 PM

What about putting on undershorts while standing, would that get me pie?

Jet Travis 04-16-07 09:14 PM

I tried it with my eyes closed and put both socks on the same foot. What does that mean?

Memory loss - since you can't remember that foot already has a sock on it:rolleyes:

DnvrFox 04-17-07 06:07 AM

Socks?

Who wears socks?

(I passed at age 67yo - WITH MY EYES CLOSED - calf length socks, no less. I want my prize and bonus prize! - is that 2 pieces of Blueberry Pie?)

HopedaleHills 04-17-07 06:30 AM

I can also tie my shoes while standing on the other foot, do I get bonus points?

Showoff

Can you do it while standing on your head?

The true test of balance and flexibility is putting on a pair of panty hose while standing:rolleyes:

That's a good one! My kids gave me a "suction cup" to put on my putter handle to get balls out of the cup without bending over!!
