Hard Ride Tonight

Looks like it is going to be a tough ride tonight. We have 10mph winds out of the NW which is blowing all of the smoke from fires in everglades into town. It is so heavy right now it looks like fog. I thought I gave this up when I moved from Cali. Hoping for some rain or a wind change before I leave work

On one hand we have people moaning about too much rain- or 3 ft of snow or high winds or temperature that won't go above freezing and now we have someone moaning about the dry weather.

Just go out and ride.

Edit- Make certain you have a rear Blinkie if it is that foggy.

I don't think I was moaning?

Riding or any exercise when the air is full of smoke from a grass fire is not all that pleasant and makes you work a lot harder. As I alluded to this was a somewhat usual occurance when I lived in California and not one I expected here in FL. I guess I thought others who were in a similar situation before might like to comiserate with me on this but I guess it is not as compelling a thread as global warming or how should I spit (no offense DG).

BTW- I will ride sans gas mask but a I may look to put a canister of O2 in my bag

No offense taken. I actually think it's an interesting conundrum, despite my feeble attempts at levity above.

A moaning 50+er!!!! They don't exist.

Just trying to point out the excuses some of us make to get out of rides

Now down to that 02-- Only allowed to be used after the 3rd hill of the night or you have shown the youngsters the way up the first one.

We Don't have the Smoke problem but I caught the first wiff of it tonight- The Oil Seed **** is coming into bloom over here and that plays havoc with my sinus's.
