It finally happened!!!

After riding thousands of miles over 6 years I finally got my first saddle sore. I put on a pair of bike shorts Sunday that I swore I'd never use again and I'm sure they are the culprit. I really think mine situation is more related to stitching in the shorts versus anything bacterial. It surfaced about 2 hours into my ride and felt like I had a thorn sticking through the spandex.

Pictures available upon request!!!!!

That pair of shorts is being donated!

No thanks on the shorts, you best keep them!

When things get hot & more humid, I use a cream - that seems to help a lot for me.

If you insist, you can post pictures of the shorts

Knock on wood.....I've managed to escape the dreaded saddle sore

My wife thinks I'm too fussy about shorts. When I buy a pair if they give me any discomfort at all, they're gone ASAP. Sorry to hear of your mis-fortune and hope you get quick relief. If it were me, I'd probably use the offending shorts to clean the oil off my car's dip stick and then trash 'em.

What does a saddle sore look like exactly?
