Yeah, in DC. One was an overnight at my house and the other was during a doctor appointment on George Washington University campus. I know, I know...I should have known better...now I do. The first bike was an old beater that I was happy to be rid of. However the second was a lovely Jamis Coda Comp that I still miss. Stupid of me and all my fault.

I have been told ther are only 25 pound bikes. 15 pound bikes with a 10 pound chain and 25 pound bikes with no chain.

But, all of my bikes weigh 30 or more pounds!

Pardon my dumbness, but how are these type locks used?

They never show a picture of a bike being locked with one and I've never seen one in action on a locked-up bike. Seems like you'd need an unusually conveniently shaped thing to lock the bike to? Certainly more secure (and heavier) than a convenient cable, but how do you use one of these?
