Just a post before I go
Looking at everyone's weekend photos and such, I have come to the conclusion that we need a little diversity on this site.
To come to the point. We all look the same.
I could use any of your photos, and with minimal photoshopping convince any of my confreres that it's me.
Face it: balding; rapidly greying gootee; gently protruding gut; a face that looks quixotic yet insipid.
We've been cloned.
I know there are a few exceptions, like George and Dave. I'm assuming Beverly and Janie don't fit the mold, either.
Some of you are a tad underfed. Its not my fault your native cuisine is so ghastly and unpalatable.
The rest of us, its kind of pitiful.
Just sayin'.

You haven't seen Beverly in the mornings before she has shaved. But neither have I either.
Balding is not something many of us can do much about and the same goes for the graying, but as to that gently protuding gut- It can be held in.
I feel underfed this morning. Got to the cafe a bit too early and they were not open so onto the next that has the best coffee in the town and pie. Only Apple and Macaroon this morning and I did not go back for a bun. I should have done but the weather was so good-I got on the bike and did an extra hill instead.
As to the pic- I prefer pics of other people and just to prove it- I am not the one with the white bra top.

Must get worse as we get older.

Nice looking woman for a 50 and over. Must be the water.
You have your cafe to go to. I have a McDonalds a mile away, where a breakfast buritto awaits if I really want it. We ain't civilized, I tell you.
You knew that already.

I only eat twice a day, as I know your metabolize is much slower when we age. As far as the service bit, I was in the 101st airborne division and when I went in, I weight 155# and when I got out 183#, now I weight 200#, so not to much difference over the years (45) to be exact. We only averaged about 1 jump a month, but lived in the field a great deal of the time. Being so active most of my life probably helps, but there are something you just can't prevent. Rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, asthma, but you have to keep going, just saying, have fun today, I'm going sailing.

I went in the Marines and weighed 130lbs when I went in and thanks to being in the Boxing team, came out at 126. This gradually went up to 140 at age 40 and currently is about 150. As to looks- Thanks to having to shave 3 times a day- I grew a beard as soon as I came out and it stays. As to Food- Don't eat a great deal and probably not that healthy but try to eat NON processed food little but often. UNTIL the bike rides come up and I did miss my breakfast this morning so a good meal tonight.Hopefully.

Hey, Beverly, I might be your long-lost brother you didn't know you had. Look at this picture. It like your avatar. (And no goatee)

And my greying goatee is rather distinguished, if I say so myself.

I'm no longer in denial. I'm so bald and have been for so long that I'm used to it, just keep the fringe cut real short to more or less match. And my beard is so gray that I no longer bother, I just shave my face too, it's easier that way. I still blame it on my kids.

When you are very young, you believe in Santa Claus.
As a pre-teen and teenager, you don't believe in Santa Claus.
As an adult with a young family, you ARE Santa Clause.
As you approach retirement, you LOOK LIKE Santa Claus.

I did but I warned them that 100's of 6 year olds in tears does not look good. Got my co-rider on the tandem to do it instead.

Do you suppose that Santa wears bibs?
That's a lot of hours in the sleigh. And they might help tuck him in for sliding down chimneys.

I decided to grow bald gracefully several years ago. I never did the comb over, just very short hair.
BTW, no goatee for me!

Question which is a slight deviant from the deviancy we have been discussing:
What is your opinion of guys our age wearing 'do-rags'? Is it kind of cool? Does it rate right down there with thigh high shorts and Speedo banana hammocks? My son thinks it's OK for me to wear a do-rag.
What do you think? Ladies? Or would it look hopelessly Mid-life Crisis?
