3 hours without pie...

Paradise isn't all it is cracked up to be. We may have perfect biking weather and very nice people and scenary that is just incredible - but there is no PIE. I could have really used some pie today.

About 8:30 am I rode up to the finca - I took the long way so it was about 45 minutes. I arrived pretty sweaty, so I decided to head down to the river to go swimming. I swam and fooled around until about 12:30.

Went across the road and had a few carbs and two cups of coffee to wait out the heat. Then I left about 2:30 went into town and had a hamburger. Feeling pretty good so I decided to go exploring

Exploring in Costa Rica is interesting. The roads less traveled can end up looking like a scene out of Jurrasic Park.

Very steep hard packed clay - what a great ride!

But, no pie - I must go raid the refregerator again, be back shortly...

Tom, this poor third world country doesn't even have pies - truly a shame. There is fruit all over the place - but no pies....
