Scouting down to DnvrFoxs House

I had a scouting mission today. I wanted to see if there was a bike trail/MUP all the way to DnvrFoxs house. Well that is a big negatory, ghost rider (at least not that I could find)! I had to ride a portion of Jordan road to get all the way into Parker and followed the E-470 trail back. Did a total of 54 miles (I think its only 15 to DnvrFoxs house). I guess I'll find out Saturday what the actuall distance is.
I am looking forward to the group ride! WooooHoooooo

Yes, the trail is not completed for the 3.5 miles between Cherry Creek State Park and Cottonwood, although about 2 miles are finished in short sections, requiring the use of Jordan Road..

There are various reasons given -

1. The possibly endangered Prebbles Jumping Field Mouse lives there, or;
2. The land owner near Arapahoe anad the bridge underpass won't give a right-of-way, or
3. Arapahoe County doesn't want to spend the $$ although lottery funds should be available.

Take your choice, I have heard all three.

Once it is finished, you will be able to go from Castlewood Canyon State Park through Franktown, Parker, CCSP, downtown and north to almost Brighton, about50 miles or more.

See you Saturday.

Anyone else want to join us?

I haven't been to that end of the bike path in over a year and was wondering if the path was finished. Thanks SW for letting us know. Looking forward to the ride on Sat. DF where will we be riding to?

Sorry that wasn't a part of the original mission brief.
