Double Celebration!!!
Two great things have JUST happened.
1. Finished my fist Century, Hotter n' Hell 100 miles in good time, 17.6 ave!!
2. Stopped in my favorite Bike shop in Plano, Tx. Sunday after the ride, and bought my great new bike at a silly price, a Fuji Team RC. Tried it out today for the first real ride, and WOW!!!!!!
Life is realy good SOMETIMES.
I must remember, I am in the middle of the third act of a three act play!!! Where are you?

Whoo Hoo! Enjoy your ride.
I was once told a three act play consists of:
I) Getting the main character up a tree.
II) Throwing rocks at him.
III) Getting him down from the tree.
So, if my life were a three-act play I'd still be in Act II.

Where am I? I'm mopping up water on the kitchen floor. Water that is springing from a leak upstairs under our bathroom. I'm looking at a significant plumbing repair job and replacing a large section of my kitchen ceiling.
So almost as good a day as you, but not quite.

That bike was considered to be a pretty good value at $3800. And a very good deal at $3000.

You got a great streak going. Me, I'm only ever in one act plays. That is, I take each day one-at-a-time. If I'm lucky I'll get through today's play and a new one tomorrow.

Put a bucket under the plumbing, the ceiling will dry eventually. You sir need to go buy a new bike to improve your day.
I on the other hand, need to go home, watch artisans install a new dishwasher to replace the one that sits and goes wirrr...bop and then stops. There goes any new bike I might have contemplated.
Ah well, at least I haven't lost my wallet. If I had, the artisans would stop!

If only it were that simple. The leaking pipe is above the ceiling. One cannot put a bucket between it and the ceiling. I had to punch a hole in the ceiling to let the water run out. Otherwise it was pooling and spreading across a wide area of the ceiling, including dripping through the kitchen light fixture.
I'll be lucky if the repair is under $300.

The first three plumbers I called were unavailable for 1-2 weeks. One asked if I wanted to schedule a repair next Wednesday. Sure, I want water dripping into my ceiling and light fixtures for a week or so, no problem!

Only one grumble- You wear yourself out by doing a 100miler in an average that I would like to do a 20mile ride in- Then while you are not quite all there- Just a little fatigued and still with the adrenalyn rush- You go out and buy a new bike without consulting us. AND then no pics of the ride or the new bike.
Only one grumble but covering a few points I think.
Well done on the ride- and as to finding that bike- at that price- We'll let you know if we aproove your rashness when we see the proof.

Yes yes, we've hijacked your post long enough. Bring on the pics. The purchase of a new bike trumps all troubles.
Congrats.

I saw a dealer trying to sell his floor demo '06 Team RC on eBay last week for $2800.
