Great ride today...

Things have been pretty bad for us these days...business has been lousy, in-law squabbles, etc.

I went for a bike ride today anyway, and didn't leave the house until after noon, which is late for me. The ride went very well. My legs felt strong, my heart rate was lower than usual even riding into the afternoon wind, and my bike felt great.

Late in the day, as I was coming in from my ride, I heard a loud scuffle in the air. I looked up, and there was a hawk, a goose, and a seagull...all riding the same thermal, and all squawking at one another. I'd don't know if I've ever seem a goose ride a thermal, but it was beautiful! That big bird with it's wings stretched out and circling above me. The three of them rose higher and higher, and finally left my range of vision.

Amazing!

A hawk, a goose and at seagull were riding a thermal . . . . . I think that's the start of a joke, but I can't remember the punch line.

I know what you mean, sometimes you would like to crawl into a hole, but go for a ride and feel great when it's done.

This is the one where the three of them eventually land on the roof of a bar in San Diego.

The goose says to the other two, "Hey, I'm thirsty! Let's go inside for a drink!"

The hawk replies, "Gread idea! Maybe there will be some lady birds at the bar we can meet!"

I can't remember what the seagull says...

Sometimes I worry that I'm too easily pleased...but then I go for a ride and stop worrying about that too!

It's because you carry a pump.
