Rumors of my incarceration have been exaggerated, but not by much:


I returned late last night from my mission as goodwill ambassador to the Ukrainian people for the Kentucky Mountain Bike Association:


As the Baron von Munchausen said, I realise that these tales are what lead people to believe I make all this stuff up, so here is proof-positive I was there:

For those of you a little rusty on your Russian, transalliterated into the Latin alphabet this place is called "Velo Mir" or "Bike World".


There were some goat trails that I think would have made fine MTB trails:


But I didn't get homesick as there was excellent American cuisine available:


That pretty much sums it up.
