I must say
that the 50+ forum seems to be the most helpful forum on this board. I posted my initial questions about my impending bike nuptials (wait, I'm already married to a ball and chain who can be cranky, now I'm going to be married to a tire and chain with a crankset?)
but I digress.
So I posted my initial question in the Recreation and Family forum. I got about two replies. One of them being you're around 50, go to the 50+ forum.
When I realized I was thinking MTB, I posted there, I got about two replies from the same guy.
So I've posted in the Hybrid and Cyclocross forums, we'll see how that goes.
Meanwhile, I should have broken this post up into several posts (but then I might get accused of being a post-hore (will this spelling get past the filter?)) because somebody pm'd me, and I tried to reply and it told me I can't send PM's until I have a post count of 50. Now I can see for probationary/security reasons not being able to initiate them until a post count of 50 (bot spammers don't usually hit post counts that high), but not being able to reply to one is a bit much.
So excuse me while I go build up my post count. Right now that takes precedence over Pie Ride Training, especially since I don't really have a ride yet.
but I digress.

I'm just saying
(and with this, I believe i just made my 50th post.
I want to thank all of you that helped me get to this milestone. You know who you are. I have CRS (can't remember shtuff), I don't want to throw out my shoulder patting each of you on the back. Be careful if you pat your own (back).

Guess you missed the part about the $50, 50+ forum's excess posting charge for newbies. As the crazy co-founder of this forum, that is one of my perogatives. Make the check to DnvrFox.
