Getcha 50+ Jersey Pictures here

That's right, be the first on the block -in my case, be the only one on the block- to show off your 50+ jersey
Here we are on the inaugural ride. It's summer on the coast. What a beautiful morning for a ride.

On the way out

I can't help but notice how much smaller my stomach looks than it did when I crossed the Golden Gate Bridge a few months ago. Nice. And check out those quads!

As I was buzzing up the "Linda Mar Grade", another rider came by -passed me- and as he pulled alongside me going up the hill, he said "Nice jersey!" How cool is that?

And on the way back, stopped for an idyllic moment

And red shorts to show off with.

ATTENTION

I wouldn't part with my jersey (in the mail still), but for $200 I could be persuaded seeing as how there may not be a second order. There's the BF Inner Gruppetto and the Outer Gruppetto......your (my) jersey will guarantee you entrance like a sperm to an egg with all the wonderful results to the very inner circle here. Be one with Sai, DG, Bombadil, and all the rest of the lovable, screwy guys & gals that have charmed you so much over 1,000's of postings. You can't miss.

P.S. SKT....you make a fine pin-up for BF50Plus...'course you'll have to have the Lemond painted. No price to small. Say, ya wanta 2nd jersey for when this one's in the wash?....200 smackers no checks.

The Weak Link 09-30-07 05:52 PM

SKT is my twin, separated at birth! After all these years! It's scary.

But I wouldn't wear grey socks with silver shoes. That would make me pretty nervous.

SaiKaiTai 09-30-07 06:17 PM

White socks, then, my brother?

Beverly 09-30-07 06:27 PM

Lookin' good, SKT:)

I'm anxious for mine to arrive.

Yeah, but much shorter. :D

Terrierman 09-30-07 07:52 PM

I agree, your socks are much much too high. And red jersey and shorts on blue bike? Come on now.... And where is your California tan?

Notice, I have NOT posted any pics here for you to pick apart, nor will I soon....

SaiKaiTai 09-30-07 08:00 PM

I can take it, I am secure in my Fredness.
Besides, I like my crew socks.

And what do you mean where's my California tan?
I don't live in "California", I live in Pacifica. That is my tan
It's different here.

tsl 09-30-07 08:03 PM

Outstanding! So truly, they are not a myth?

And I agree with DG on the socks.

George 09-30-07 08:03 PM

Your ready for Bicycling magazine, I mean the cover, looks good. I wish they came in yellow, I would have got one.

TruF 09-30-07 09:01 PM

Hey, SKT. My sister-in-law lives in Linda Mar. I think that is the only piece of Pacifica that gets sun! Sometimes, anyway. :)

SaiKaiTai 09-30-07 09:34 PM

Depends what part of Linda Mar, I guess.

Pacifica sure has this interesting mythology about it's weather
To be sure, Linda Mar -especially back in the valley- has the most consistently good weather but where I am is fine except for those two months in summer -July and August- when it gets pretty socked in.

Thanks for being the first to post, SKT. Now I know what to do when I post my picture. My black bike with blue lettering is out....will borrow a friend's bike since it will match the jersey. I'll need to dig the black helmet out of the garage instead of my yellow one. Socks must be black, red or white.... It will take some prep for these pictures:D

Well, someone's got to set the pace, right?

Mine arrived this morning.

I'm one of those people who must wash everything before wearing it, so here's mine drying with The Bikes.

I plan to wear it this afternoon. Perhaps I can threaten a pedestrian with my frame pump and make them take a pic.

Digital Gee 10-01-07 09:43 AM

How are we going to get a group picture???

With your exemplary Photoshop skills

Hey. We're back from Waves to Wine with it's killer climbs (up, down, up down etc all day every day)
But it was the most beautiful ride I've ever been on. Here's a 50 photo of myself with Tricia and a bonus NorCal jersey photo from day 1

Guess what came in the mail today, just in time to cheer me up (see insurance rant thread...)!

It fits like a glove. Thought it was going to be a bit small, but nope -- just right. And I shed a few more pounds, then it will fit even better.

Came just in time for my afternoon ride!

Yahoo! Keep 'em coming in, folks. Gotta represent.

And it's true, helmets just look dorky. You oughta see the shots I *didn't* post.

geofitz13 10-01-07 03:41 PM

Also got mine today. Hope to go for a ride this weekend for the first time in 9 weeks! (I am assuming I get the ok from the doc) Will take a pic and post.

As for helmets being dorky...well, my wife and I refer to them as "Birth Control Hats."

Are those bib lines I'm spotting underneath that jersey?
