Wonderful Ride until....
Forgot all about the HRM, and was just enjoying the ride down Trolley Road. Sun shining, nice weather in the 80's, and it felt good to strain a bit. Looked down and saw 21MPH, 110 cadence, and a heart rate at 156. And boy it felt good!
And then, PSST, the back tire goes flat. Inspection finds a cut in the tire. I have a tube and CO2 pump, but had to limp home with a budging tire.
It was great while it lasted!

Thats what you get for going out ill prepared. No $20 bill to buy Pie with. And unless you are a greedy basket- You would have got a few bills in the change that you could have used to cover the hole in the tyre.
You have been warned. Rides without being prepared for the open Cafe that sell Pie can mean a long walk home.
Good on the Heart rate though. Well done

It was your words last year that pointed out to ride for the ride. Not for the numbers.
Thanks again.

Just a 2 mile ride going real slow, hoping the tire would not pop out. Made it home fine, and ordered a replacement tire. I have an old tire I'm going to ride on until next week.
Thanks, and take care!

I keep varying lengths of old tires with the tread torn off to use as boots for when my tires get slashed. The remaining tire liner makes a perfect boot.
