Christmas and the bicycle..........

So its friday after Thanksgiving and I'm doing the not so optional "helping put up the tree" with the wife. She starts fishing with the "honey.....what would you like for christmas this year".

"Well....I wouldn't mind a set of SRAM Force bar end shifters.........they are 10 speed units with carbon levers"

"10 speed...I thought you didn't like 10 speed stuff...........and whats the carbon for....to make your shifters lighter...........Will I still be able to ride with you (my wifes bike is a Jamis Earth Cruiser single speed)?

"Certainly you can still ride with me....I can learn to live with 10 speed...and sometimes when I'm riding without you I can go a little faster (30 grams...)".

"But their so small for $200."

"Hon...there are lots of small things that cost a lot.........diamonds are small. micro computer chips are small. Besides these shifters are georgeous and functional and really really nice. They would look great on my bike."

"Hmmm diamonds are nice."

Oh No Maddmaxx............what have you done..................................

Go for the whole bike, you only go around once in life. Hum, I heard that somewhere before.

So the wife now expects to get a small-Or Large- diamond set in gold in exchange for your sending a letter to Santa?
