Another Bike Forums ride

Yesterday I joined a BF ride organized by BF member Happtime as a charity to benefit local organizations.
There were at least 60 participants, including several BF 50+ posters. The ride was only 50 miles, but had about 4800 feet of climbing, and the weather was perfect. Here is a link to the thread containing pictures, and there are even some with [email protected] wearing his 50+ jersey!
Every Bike Forums ride I have done has been great fun, and everyone acts like old friends, even if they haven't met. I can't wait untill the next one.

Cool! Thanks for posting. The shots of Latigo Canyon bring back lots of memories for me, as a Los Angeles native.

Thanks for the pictures. Sounds like a great time!

Yes Beverly,

It was a great time! Sorry you couldn't make it. There we lots of 50+ riders there, though I don't think all are on the 50+ forum. I told big john that there would be another order for the 50+ jerseys, so no worries there.

I made a mistake by following a few of big john's club members (who weren't riding back to the start) and got a bit lost (Mulholland Road and Mulholland Highway are different roads, apparently . . . ) but eventually found a 50+ rider who knew the area to help me back on course!

He asked me who organized the ride, and I told him Joy from He'd never heard of us, but said he'd look us up on the internet when he got home. See, I got lost just so I could spread the word! Yeah, well, whatever, at least it worked out that way.

I did find my way back to Malibu with only eight "bonus" miles, so no worries there either!

Here I am in my 50+ jersey:

Rick / OCRR (well, I am wearing my OCRR gloves!)
