Foo-ey!

We had another thread moved to Foo. I thought they weren't going to do that anymore. It was the reading glasses thread.

Needed to introduce "the things I need to read the little rice paper instructions for the new thingamajig that I am installing on my heretofor untouchable and super advanced carbon fibre frame" early in the thread to retain credability.

Either that or "what ratio reading glasses do I need to read about the alps?"

Now if it were the Cycling socks that had gone missing and taken the cycling Reading glasses with them- It might not have been moved. Only thing I want moved to FOO right now is this damn weather we are having. Just about got a ride in yesterday- but saw a couple of commuters leaving work from the estate where I work tonight. Hope they had the STORM proof clothing on as I had to stop for 5 minutes as the rain that came down was too bad to drive in.

That's too bad. I just don't have time to read Foo, so I'm sure I'm missing out on all kinds of hot topics.

I don't wear my reading glasses when I'm riding my bike.

I wonder what % of foosters need reading glasses as compared to % of 50+ers?

Hmmmm...how 'bout a thread titled "Move This Thread"? Kinda like Abbie Hoffman's book.

Another fun title would be "Hijack This Thread." Probably been done already by somebody.

I always wonder why someone moves something to Foo. I mean, does someone have to lodge a complaint? And if not, why bother?

It's not a big deal; it just seems curious to me.

I suspect, understand I have no evidence, that those who monitor these things simply cruise different forums. Every now and again, they read one that doesn't fit their paradigm of what should be in that particular fourm. Don't they usually put a notice on the thread that's been moved? At least I think I remember seeing such. On one hand I think the moderators already do a pretty decent job of allowing this particular fourm a fair amount of latitude.

Fair enough. Why then are you claiming that you already posted what was, as best, a foul tip of the post in question?

Either that or "what ratio reading glasses do I need to read about the alps?"
That might get it moved to Road Cycling, due to positive mention of carbon.

I was wondering why there was a thread by DG in Foo and full of 50+ posters who normally don't post there. A few of us post in a few quite a bit but it seems to be a younger crowd. Some might say the 50+ forum is more Foo than cycling discussions, not sure how they would decide which threads to move/

Hmmm... There's a thread in Utility Cycling that's been annoying me. It should be in Living Car Free instead. Who do I contact to have it moved?

Foul tip, my arse!

It was more like a line drive that made it over the fence, but was just left of the foul pole.
